Hi, I'm Ron.
I’ve always wanted to know how things work. I have spent my life in an endless cycle of deconstruction and reconstruction. From tearing apart toy RC cars to building flamethrowers, I was born with a drive to understand the mechanical and build the fantastical.
I created my company, Prometheus Industries with a single goal in mind: turn my thoughts into reality; give form to ideas and devices previously relegated to the realm of fiction. This dream has been with me since my early childhood.
As I watched Iron man suit up and fly across the screen I wondered, “Could I attain that?” Could I wield lightning like Thor, could I move bridges and stop bullets like Magneto. Some would say “No, that’s impossible.” and for them the conversation would end there. In doing so they forgo the mystery and wonder such ideas create.
Curiosity and creativity, the passion to explore; the pursuit of knowing the unknown. All of these attributes and experiences are what usher in change. I have held lightning, I have manipulated magnetic fields. I have directed fire.
Each day I draw closer to achieving my dream, with each iteration I show the world that the impossible is possible. The Plasmathrower is one of those iterations. Originally meant to be a platform for testing how electrically conductive fire is; after many requests it became a product I’d share with the world.
The Plasmathrower was and has always been a device meant to quell the insatiable appetite of those who desire to know how wonderful fire and by extension controlled destruction can be. Practical and refined, the Plasmathrower is a device conceived by a madman yet orderly and safe enough for the sane.
This endeavor has been long and full of danger. During my first few months running the company I ran into numerous issues. I was inexperienced and naive. At the height of my suffering I was sick; bed ridden, unable to breathe without tremendous stress, I’d run out of money, and I had orders due. It was then that I made the decision to not give up. I placed my dream and desire to succeed over the pain that plagued me. I fulfilled my orders, I recovered from my sickness and I found people who were willing to help run the company with me. Through our efforts we were able to get the company off the ground and produce something that most can’t help but gawk at.
Prometheus Industries represents the desire to look beyond the ordinary, to confront the unknown and bring back something the world has never seen before.
